Propshaft front c.v. Joint

Hi I've recently acquired a 1992 3b Audi s2 coupe and have found that the front propshaft joint has play in it which is causing knocking when I am off an off the accelerator.

What I would like to know if anyone can help is where can I buy a new one of these? Have been in touch with Audi and they say they don't supply them anymore and have spent many hours searching the net with not much joy
Is the part obsolete?
Anything to help the head scratching will be greatly appreciated.
