Some friends had a weekend BBQ meeting to test their cars before a race this weekend, here's some footage

One of the guys on the first video uses his Patrol as one of his daily driven cars (when not driving his 997 GT2), not racing it like the other guys... and apparently loves rev limiters

What sort of power are these cars running?

Different setups, from stock skyline turbos (~300bhp) to GTX35 turbos on them, all RB25DET Skyline engines, they are direct swap for the 2.8 RD28 diesel units found on those patrols, everything bolts on and aligns, the diesel sump is used (to clear the front axle, also it takes more oil), the transmission handles the power with no effort, there's even unused electric wiring on the chassis for an electric petrol pump to the tank - the perfect swap.

One of the more powerful ones has reached 250kph on a private closed road last year at which point the door mirrors began to retract automatically because of the air pushing them

If £££s were no problem, I wish I could stick a Lexus V8 lump into my Mk3 Hilux..and surprise people with a turn o'speed, and give pleasure with the soundtrack!
