Debating looking at this one. Guy doesn't reply to texts or ebay messages, might just go down there and ring him. What you think?
I know a few older folks who WILL NOT respond to text's or write emails under any rational circumstances, my Father is one of them. I guess some of that generation have an inbuilt technofear that makes the prospect of such activity's too tiresome to contemplate. I'd give the seller a call before setting off if I was you.

Why wouldn't you call him? Text messages are for organising a beer with mates or for chasing skirt you met at the boozer. If I want answers and to show a seller I am serious about looking at their car with a view to buying it, I call them. Tis the #1 way to make them take note. If they don't answer or respond to a voicemail, then fair enough, they are a douchebag.
If the car has been for sale for a while, the poor seller has probably had a glut of tyre kickers and wannabees annoying him. Whether it is a good motor or not, these cars take a long time to sell due to the tiny audience the seller is appealing to.
My old man is in his mid 60's and only has a phone because he has to for work, he got very cross with Vodafone yesterday after their fourth attempt to sell him some sort of text bundle. I agree with Cottis if I was interested in a car I wouldn't even consider texting the seller, a quick phone call let's them know your most likely a genuine buyer.
If you don't mind me asking how old are you Tony? I know there's a few more mature members on here, wonder who the oldest is.

Because I didn't see it in that logic at the time + when you have experience buying your previous car from the dealer texting you about it, you see it as normal I'll give him a buzz about it soon!

Names Tommy* and I'm 18, you'll think I'm nuts getting a car like this at my age but due to insurance, I have my 2 years NCB early because of my rents multi-car policy and an S2 is cheaper to insure than my current car! So I'm assuming I may be the youngest if anything!
Ooop's sorry mate, for some reason I've read your name as TonyMardon every time I've seen it, durrr what a mong.
Didn't realise you were that young, we have a member from Sweden who had an RS2 at the age of 18 though he's not about much anymore and I'm pretty sure he's sold his car.
It's good to see guys your age taking an interest in these older Audi's, show's you probably have better taste that many of your contemporary's.
I wouldn't discount that rather nice Blue 3B if I was you, if it's still there in a month I'm going to have a look at it.

And here I thought I'd remain the youngest .
Got mine at the age of 20 but insurance premiums in Malta aren't as bad, it's the road tax here .

No worries mate Yeah insurance is normally a killer in Britain though so young drivers don't normally think of RS2s haha!
Most my friends who are my age who are just getting their 1 year NCB are getting cars like 106 GTIs, Glanzas, few years older have VXRs, Focus STs, Imprezas, etc.
I wanted to stand out and I wanted something 5 cylinder. Saw the 2.3 5cyl Audi (S2 shape) and it appealed to me but then one of my friends pointed out the S2 (never heard of it) He said he had one come into his work, A1 Rallysport which was running over 500bhp!

Good luck with your first S2!
How old are you now? and first S2? I'm assuming that means I'll have many more due to the fact I'll become an S2 addict!

I am 21 now, just been over a year of ownership but don't regret it one bit
Still some niggles here and there but it's a great car.
You'll definitely be temped to get more of these old Audis if you spend a good deal of time on this forum, I want a UR quattro and an RS2 one day
