    another "fielding opinions" question

Anyone used this stuff for protection of water lines/wiring etc heat

I want to protect a water line that runs around the back of the block from excess heat and possible abrasion....

anyone got any other suggestions, that would be great...

I use TexSleeve in areas where temperature isn't much of an issue and I'm thinking of this

    thanks
    Mike

    hi

I got something similar on the oil cooler pipes I got from a mate on my cooler kit. it cost way more than that and I know it works well as it sat above Subaru headers for a while.

if that's cheap replica of this hose then maybe better to source the real thing.

my mate got this stuff following a fire on wrap that nearly ruined a 40k ish project of a customer

I'm not sure if its "cheap replica" stuff, its sold by a company that specialises in outboard/boat stuff....

the thing is I was using the DEI stuff and that just seemed to get burnt real quickly and the "protective" foil had peeled within a month of use.... not impressed...
