Electrical component sourcing help please :)

I need a relay for the control unit in my Clio. It's mounted the the PCB and is a Taiko TB1-225B. These appear to have been made by Panasonic and have been superseded but I can't for the life of me find a replacement... but then I am just a CAD Monkey

heaters by any chance?

It's a 2003 and I'm after a relay that's on the UCH, which controls the lights, wipers, windows... It's under the fusebox / glovebox.

scratch that thaught, the UCH`s (body control/convienience unit in normal terms) are coded to to cars,

this might be a bitch as you cant just replace them dude

Try to understand or measure the tension between the ends of coil. And after that you can use a different relay soldering wires between PCB and "new" relay.

!!!! Are you sure that you don't have the relay's switched feed to a ground or something like that ? !!!!

Cheers Sean. It's the N3 version fitted to mk.2 phase 2 Clios.

They are indeed coded. One time operation Renault will relieve you of over £500 for a unit and plugging it in to a computer to program it These things fail for a pastime for one reason or another

In this instance, I can bypass it but next time... Got 25% off the car as the unit was faulty. Almost writes off the car

Looking at an image on google they look like they woukd be easy enough to remove from another unit and resolder into your unit

they do seem common for various panasonic 12v DC applications though
