    ive got an itch!

Im considering selling the s2 as ive got a desire to get a b5 s4 preferably an avant.
What are peoples views? Ive had a quick look and there arent many for sale.
I have always loved the look though..

I've got one kicking about, I just haven't had time to list it for sale.
(It's in my warehouse with my sorn 80 Sport)
    Nogaro Blue, Alcantara.
    Avant.
    Mapped to 270.
MOT'd last month - no issues.
I bought it last year on a whim and for a daily drive, but then I got my Astra Van so I could carry my 2 Dobermanns in secure cages in the back.
It came with OZ 17" lightweight wheels (which I still have) but I put 18" Avus with brand new tyres on it (Conti 5's)

I know it's forum rules to list a price on cars for sale so I won't carry on chatting, PM me if interested and I'll send you some pictures.

I would be interested but depends on price and obviously would need to get rid of s2 which may break my heart as its great...

But you put so much time into making the S2 a goodun. That said, itches tend to need scratching.

How much happiness does the S2 give you and how long and hard would it be the replace if you decided you had made a mistake. B5 S4's are ten a penny in comparison. Could you have both? I would rather the S4 for a daily but the S2 is the ultimate weekend toy for me.

Yes my s2 is perfect now and i love it. If it does go the new owner wouldnt need to spend a penny. I have a b7 avant tdi for everyday. I do too many miles to run a thirsty daily. I looked at b7 s4s but they are not disimilar in looks to my tdi but running costs would be crazy.
As you say sometimes you need to scratch.

I would say you already own the perfect foil for the S2 but then I am not the one with an itch ha ha. Good luck with it whatever you decided to do.

Don't sell your S2 you will totally regret it!! The number of people that sell up and regret it months down the line is unreal! I have often thought about going for something much more powerful I would love an RS6 but they are so damn expensive so I stick with my S2 and for 13 years I still get a buzz from driving it

I've considered this before STeve. I suggest having a go in a couple, your itch will be scratched!
They need RS4 power to be exciting IMHO, and then.... well you should get an RS4

yeah but there is a huge price difference. it will only ever be a second car and a 12k second car takes some justification and I am too tight to spend it.
I do love the s2 and it is a superb drive and never gives me any headaches. It still trounces my mates mk4 r32 so that always makes me smile...

Having owned a B5 S4 and a B5 RS4 and am now driving the a URS6 says something, not just about my finances LOL

Out of all of them I prefer the S6 because it is big, but I always preferred the S4 over the RS4 for some weird reason, but probably because it isn't as laggy and pulls like a train from very low down the rev range...

The only downside with a S4 is that the running costs wont be much different from a RS4 and can be just as expensive to repair if something goes wrong.

It is tunable of course up to near RS4 power or beyond.

B5s are still small cars and that was the crucial factor for me in the end...
