upper part on the rear shocks are different between S and standard quattro
no rear ARB on standard quattro

rear bearing housing is different for S type 'cause of ARB
there's no difference in track width between quattro and S, as far as I know

No, the bearings are the same, both are 82mm. S-hub has smaller offset than non-s one. Presumably about 4mm smaller.

My 2.8 rear hubs aren't of yet but will be soon and will be interesting to see the difference to my S6.Also i thought the Bearing size was bigger on S6?

The difference is hubs is the offset.

As far as i know Audi didn't import a 2.6 c4 quattro. So that kind of negates the question.

Is your ABC 2.6 Avant fwd??

    1. Front subframe:

4A0399313L is good for the manual transmissions and the CRF, CRG, CRH and CYS automatics (but not the CST automatic)

    2. Front wheel bearing housing (aka "strut'):

4A0412025AC is good for the AAN and the AEC V8.
However the AAH, ABC, ADR, ACE, ACZ, AEL and ACK use a different housing, the 4A0412025AA. Differences will relate to the mounting of the brake calipers.

    3. Front hubs:

441501653B for the AAN and AEC
4A0407615G for the AAH, ABC, ADR, ACE, ACZ, AEL and ACK

    4. Rear suspension bits (e.g. track control arms, trapezoidal arms, etc).

Mostly the same for all of the engines and rear diffs

Rear shocks and springs obviously different

    5. Rear hubs:

4A0501653D for the AAH, ABC, ACZ, AEJ, AEL and ACK
441501653B for the AAN and AEC

    6. Front Brakes:

One set up for the AAH, ABC, ACZ, AEJ, AEL and ACK
Another for the AAN and AEC

    7. Rear Brakes:

AAN and AEC use different rotors and calipers than the other engines

So the quick answer is not much of the 30V V6 running gear will work as spares for a C4 UrS6 or S6 plus.

This is very useful info. Any idea whether the rear subframe on a 2.6 V6 (ABC) Avant will be the same as the S6 Avant?

Many thanks urs4boy very much appreciated.I am aware of the brake situation S6 using hp2 over the lesser brakes of the 2.8 30v but am surprised Audi didnt overlap a lot more than what you have imparted.

    Europe had 2.8 30v V6 DOHC 142 kW/190 bhp
