    Courier Recommendations?

Can any of you recommend a courier for pick ups anywhere in England with delivery to Aberdeen?

The local one I've been using for years has started subbing in APC who refuse to call and arrange a pick up date time, they just turn up and expect someone to be sitting at the door waiting....which is never the case then the whole things a disaster!

    Much appreciated!

    Cheers,
    Leigh

royal mail for small parcels, switches etc (under 8cm thick)
parcel2go for items over 8cm wide, usually Yodel or Hermes
Paisley freight for things like bumpers and wheels

I use Paisley Freight for large items. But you have the same problem, a collection day, 08:00-18:00, no specific time.

Pretty much all of them are collection all day nowadays to keep costs to a minimum. I personally had bad experiences with parcel 2 go so use interparcel.com and their own priority service which is subbed to ups which are fantastic in my area. I got arrangements with the drivers that if I book the night before it will he ready for them at 8am as they come past mine on their way out from the depot to tgeir deliveries. If I book in the morning they come to me between 12 and 3.

I also had a bad experience with parcel2go and was so disgusted with their (lack of) customer service/care that I refuse to use the again, and would advise others not to.

Similarly, I moved to parcelhero.com who also use UPS, and they have been immense. Great service and top notch customer care

Parcelforce is the only company I know where you can specify a collection time window

You can send a bumper anywhere in the uk for £13 (shetlands etc maybe slightly more)

Downside is the customer service is ****ing diabolical if things go wrong
