Hi there
Can anyone tell me what size alloy wheels i need to bring them out flush with the wheel arches, without using spacers? I know its something to do with the ET number but not quite sure what that is! Any help appreciated, thanks
Hi cadiddy, thanks for your reply. I had 7 17 with et40 and 20mm spacers and they rubbed on the arches, my car is lowered about 40mm. Ive worked out with the help of a few people that the lower the et the more the wheel sticks out so et25 would stick out 15mm more than my et40's (is that right) and you also have 20mm spacers with your et25 do your wheels stick right out past the arches? Coz my et40s with spacers were just under flush with the arch. I was hoping that et25s would stick out 5mm less than my et40 and 20mm spacer combination and hopefully that 5mm reduction would stop the rubbing and i wouldnt have to use spacers. But its a bit annoying coz i dont know they wont rub for sure and i want to order my wheels on the internet and get them delivered so i have to make sure there right first but i dont know how. Anyway thanks for your help.
Hi mate, I'll get a few pictures of it tomorrow and put them up, I do get some real light scrubbing right on the outer edge of the tyre but nothing more than that, Some one maybe able to clarify this but maybe the rear setup of the cab is different to a b3 coupe? Having said that I think that is probably the case but would it be that much different?
