B2 Quattros?

Looking for a new (to me) motor and i really fancy another B2 Saloon like my old 80 CD i very very regrettably sold before i made it Quattro




my question is,

did they make an early B2 Quattro Saloon???

NOT the large rear light ugly big bumper 90 style models, but back end like this:

Were they rare over there? the b2 80s (known as the 4000 over here), are fairly common. The majority seem to be quattro as well.

one of my mates years ago had an 80 1.8 injected quattro with UR centre and rear diff locks

it was blue and the reg was A***COD or KOD (car was called the Codpiece lol)

i always remember the car to have big bumpers and lights sadly,

were the small light/bumper cars released in the UK in Quattro form?

Are there any for sale at present?

Are the "bodyshells" the same, i.e can i just change the rear lights and bumper or are the rear pannels different also?

i know the front ends can be changed (also, is this needed?! are the wings the same for big/small bumpers?)

I had an 80 Quattro 2144
Small bumpers as I remember
Was a well known and abused car in our area, driven by a total nut
I bought it some years later, rather shagged but still ended up being sold on
Don't think many be left now

i have 2 cars in mind,

Either another Sierra Sapphire or a B2 and a FWD b2 just aint gonna cut the mustard sadly.

dont want a B3/4/5 must be a B2 Quattro!

as i asked before, whats involved in converting a 90 to small bumpers and rear lights?

Hmm, tis what has stopped me phoning the guy and finding out more about it. You will do well to find a B2 Q but I am sure there must be some out there. Good luck with the hunt. Easily a better choice than a Sierra surely.

Cottis, i own a one off modified sierra prototype that didnt go into production, well everything except the bodyshell............

hence my looking for another Sapphire, and the YB is a 400bhp motor out the box all day long, or 600bhp with a big turbo and 1000cc/min injectors!

its a no brainer for the Sierra, but i REALLY REALLY want another B2 with a 5 pot so so much

im so bored with 55mpg from my golf TDi Auto Wagon :'(
