A b7 rs4 is a dream car for me, as im sure it is for many people on here. I'd like to think i'll have one in a couple of years, And if i did, i'd want it to have the bucket seats... but this puts me off slightly. I suppose the problem could be reduced if a decent alarm was fitted? Or by not living in london...
I very much think that this particular crime is partially due to how relatively common the b7 rs4 is (in comparison to other RS models) and how it seems that a large percentage of them seem to have the optional buckets fitted...

This was posted a while back and the cost to replace is due to the seats not being available as a stock item. The various items have to be ordered individually and then built up to create the final seat before being fitted. Many Audi Labour hours and daft initial component costs make it silly money.
The article says 'it takes in excess of 20 hours at £132 an hour. "It was hard work," he says.
it takes in excess of 20 hours at £132 an hour. "It was hard work," he says.
So that accounts for the cost.'
some strange maths going on there as 20x132 is only £2640, which still leaves £16360
