How much are billet throttle cams these days?

rp plastic parts will be £/g of material and time based cost in addition. Cheaper than any other manufacturing methods at these low volumes.

Throttle cam would be made in about 20-30 mins

About £100 or $130 plus postage. It's a lot but they are quality. Mind you, my original cam lasted 23yrs, so clearly a cheapo plastic one is the way forward

RP would be about 20! Designed properly I imagine it would have plenty of strength too.

having a bit of experience in this field it pays to make sure your making the parts with the correct material. The maplin's printers would be great for demo'ing the technology but NFG for real applications. I too think this will become massive especially now they are using titanium dust to coat composite parts and they are as solid as Ti but as light as plastic parts.

This idea has been discussed with a few other forum members and tools/machines have been investigated but that was it....not cheap!

on a slightly different topic, was that the GP that goes around the cathedral?......brave boy you are especially up St Michael's St....1 in 4 nice!

Definitely, it is only 20yrs+ of heat that knackers them and makes them brittle but you cannot whinge about 20yrs of service, especially not for a score.

How about dashboard switch covers with custom lettering? In my case, it'd be "C DIFF" and "R DIFF".

Difficulty is they'd have to look like OE, with the body opaque black and the lettering translucent white.

Another idea: throttle cams with a "curve" like so:

...except maybe not quite as extreme as the one shown.

The idea being that at the beginning of pedal travel, the throttle opens slowly for better modulation when doing things like parking, but toward the end of travel the throttle opens faster.
Be alert! America needs more lerts.

Im not sure what sort of plastics you can get for them but heat proof stuff for under bonnet would be nice. I fancy a oil cap that has a breather port on it, thanks!

034 billet throttle cam is $115+postage+import

Throttle cams are somewhat important. Your foot tells the throttle body to open, and it's the throttle cam's job to transfer this input to the throttle blade. Inspired by old age and wisdom, we've made an indestructible replacement throttle cam machined from billet steel. Compared to the factory plastic one, our zinc plated throttle cam upgrade is a no-brainer.

There a VW beetle one, maybe the same? Need to check height though.
