The insurance world does make me laugh.
I was with Sky a few years ago, got a similarly high-renewal, got a far cheaper quote elsewhere, Sky wouldn't match is so i moved policy and got exactley the same policy with the same underwriter for half the cost somewhere else.
A year later, the renewal price was the same to be fair to that insurer, but i got a quote from Sky which again beat it, so went back with them.
Next year im sure the renewal will be high and they won't price match, so i'll move again...
