on a A4/B5. I just ran into a guy who mounted Benz Brembo calipers from 03-06 MERCEDES W215 W220 on his 1.8T. I didn't think it was possible but he had made a bracket carrier adapter and was using an A8/S8 rotor. It looked nice & he said it was cheaper than doing a BBK with a Porsche Brembo. He claims it works like magic and brakes beautifully. I'm going to talk to him some more soon to see how he did it.
112mm spacing most are, so will bolt on to an S2 and non UR C4's. There are loads of calipers with that spacing, it's almost been standardised between manufacturers into only a few spacings. Some are front some are rear mounted on the mercs, so watch out for piston sizes, bleed nipples and fluid inlets, but there are loads available in all sizes.
Going to have my own mounting brackets made for the Benz calipers but need some wisdom here. Using Plate iron for the mounting adapters. Is 1/4" too thick?
Or can I go thinner? The pix I posted of adapters look to be made from polished plate steel and about 1/4".
