    MK 2 golf help

I have a 92 8v it's been parked up for 6 months went to start it no luck !

So after a little investigation I found the the injectors are wide open and fill engine with fuel

Removed plug for injectors on the end of rail and connected my meter and as soon as the ignition is power they have power and fuel pump is running all the time

Any Ideas Has the ecu failed

    Thanks

I had that after I had done some welding on my MK2. Filled the engine with fuel. ECU was knackered. Swapped for another and it was fine.

Your battery to body earth has died and fried your ecu for sure.
Replace the earth strap with a mk3 item .

They will be powered 100% of the time, injectors are normally earth switched.

It could be the line to the ECU has been damaged and is now earthing, causing them to be open all the time, or as you say the ECU might be fried -be strange for that to happen I would say though.

Can someone confirm that there is a Constance 12v supply to injectors when key is switched one

Also does the fuel pump keep on running ? it should turn off I would of thought

              Thanks

If your pump continues to run wit the ignition on your ecu has died.
Did you jump start the car?

Fuel pump will prime with ignition on then stop. Pump will run continuiosly when engine is running and stop once you switch it off.
