This is a post for the North American crowd here on the S2 forum. Wanted to find out what S2 converted Coupes have been bought and sold for here in the USA and Cananda. Anyone out there bought or sold a good converted S2???

HI. I wrecked mine. Rolled her. Totaled. Body destroyed. Engine and front bumper survived. I need documented SALES and PRICES of S2 converted US coupes to present to insurance so I can prove the car is worth more that a stock Coupe. Need all the help I can find out there.
I know a couple stock CQs for sale in Denver. They need some love but are solid.
A friend of mine traded in a Ginster eS2 for about $12k. It's in Ohio now, not sure if any records are online; looks like it went through Audi Sylvania.
I'd have a hard time rebuilding my 7at CQ (S2 bumpers and ellipsoid lights) for <$10k.
Good luck... I fought for almost 6 months when my heavily mod/sub S2 got totaled out after getting nailed in front of my place, especially if you were only insuring it as a CQ, and not agreed value. I went as far as to file a formal complaint with the state, all to no avail. The 13.5k is the most recent sale, I may have the old ad from the dolphin grey up for sale a few years back, but that was closer to RS2 spec and likely too old for the insurance to take. Sorry for your loss.

I followed your article in EC and went that route with my CQ. My adjuster said if I could produce documentation of recent sales of Coupes with conversions they would work with me on a settlement. Will see...

Too funny! It's a good car but was not working as a DD for my friend who bought it on ebay out of NY/NJ. Guessing the dealer out here who took it on trade against a 996C4, for what must have been a record trade on a CQ this century, must have lost a bit by sending it to auction.
