A friend of mine is acting as a shipping address for me in Germany. So it's not exactly direct. However if you can have a German forum member do it, it might be better. If not, I can step in if needed.

To help me and member rxl does anybody know the cheapest way to shipp 5 wheels from Germany to GB London? Cheers guys

Good that you have it started to get sorted. I'd look on the website of Deutsche Post and see their rates. Does the seller not want to ship to GB? Many times when asked they were willing to do so.

As indication: from Holland shipping to the UK for a package that weighs between 10 and 20 kilos is 34 euros. I hope your wheels are not that heavy, otherwise it might be times 5...
From Germany you have parcels of 120x60x60 cm max and then for up to 10 kilos it costs 20.99 euro and up to 20 30.99 euros. So a direct shipment is the cheapest I'd guess (unless you do not get charged any shipping if it's within Germany).

Asked him today if he was willing to ship them directly.. On the phone he said that he will ask around. A minute later he wrote me a pm in ebay that he is only willing to ship only to Germany.. One strange fella.. And he was saying that he is outside of germany at the time.. Shipping from him and then from me to go will cost a bit.. Anyway I will ask him if I could arrange a pick up service for the wheels

He does sound like a strange guy but some normal people are like that they just don't want to help or just couldn't care less. That would be the way to go..... arrange the shipping people to pick up from him,as long as he will pack well,and deliver direct to me.Would be quite a lot cheaper that way instead of one postage to you and another from you to me.

I have asked a business seller based in germany who is selling new audi current model alloy wheels (very expensive wheels) what cost to ship to uk. His listing says free to uk shipping but i have asked as he should know being a business seller where to get a very competitive quote from. Lets see what he comes up with and if it compares with what you find.

I have bought two sets of four wheels from ebay Germany (15" multivan alloys and 16" steels) and each time only paid around 40 euro shipping. The steel wheels came from a seller who had many sets of wheels available - I'm guessing he maybe gets a deal from the courier. I'll see if I can look up the seller if it helps....
