V5 to DVLA - Rant

Posted the transfer notification to Swansea by RM Special Delivery last Saturday 30th August.

" Track and trace " still showing " please come back later ". Post Office also unable to help, but say it left Saturday evening.

I get fined for this if the DVLA do not receive it ( but I obviously have proof of posting - including destination address ).

Two useless Government Departments. Why pay £6.40 when it could have gone 2nd class ( and probably not got mislaid ).

Anyone else had this world class level of service ? Cheers James.

Had DVLA issues with transfer of a private plate when buying a car which had plate that needed swapping. Proper PITA.

Don't get me started on Royal Mail. They are frequently dreadful. Even my postie cannot interpret basic instructions.

The Royal mail are useless and overpriced. Thats funny as special delivery is usually good and i use it for high value items that weigh not a lot. But....since they privatised i now feel no allegiance to them whatsoever and send all my parcels by courier,prices ranges from £5.99-£7.99 for up to 20kg beat that royal mail. Royal mail rout means petrol, parking,long ques and at least 30 mins. Courier, just book it, you get a knock at the door and you say thank you very much. Cushty! Bobs your uncle and fanny's your aunt. City link by the way!

Yep, City link are very good, thing I like about them is they bring the paper work with them. I'm a real tight **** so tend to use Hermes and print my own labels, just today sent a radiator too Scotland for £4.70.
