    Anyone into Transporter Syncros?

One of my other vehicles is a T4 Caravelle Syncro, converted to a camper. Today I met up with a bunch of guys with T3 syncros (and an LT 4x4 ex German fire truck) in Aberfoyle, and we went for a drive over the Duke's Pass and round the 'three lochs forest drive'. For those of you interested here are some pics..

Well the diesel was a 1.6 td jx engine so pretty weak in that respect.
if you put front and rear diff locks on and put it in G gear it feels like it will drive up anything

Love Syncro Buses especially the T3 because of the drivetrain layout and...there were some 5 pot ones
Here one from Poland with 3B engine swap https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6hg8NoXNLnM

The army green and dark blue T3's are both ex 1.6td now fitted with 1.9td (AAZ). The silver one runs a VR6 and sounds awesome!

but it's not about that, still I bet the 5 cylinder and vr would be great

The best 4x4 van off road by far the haldex system is the best by far. I work for a utilities company that has 300 T5s never a problem with them an odd bushing but they go anywhere there asked to

That would definitely be fun.... 15mph speed limit, though I clocked about 45 in the van when I had to catch up with the others at one point..

Two friends of mine drive these buses as well. One of them did the Orange trophy with it this year from NY to Rio http://www.oranjetrophy.nl/2014/teams.php

Another friend did an Euro trip this summer and just bought a shell he is planning to do an AEL swap into.

They are not my cuppa tea though, rotboxes
