Can anyone in round aberdeen recommend a good garage to get my coupe recovered to? It started running rough then stopped and will now turn but not fire. Sitting waiting on the RAC at the minute so any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Cheers
Norman
North east motors, out near newmachar. The mechanic there is an ex dealer guy and is very good by all accounts. My one's going there tomorrow night for an airbag fault...

Thanks for the help, its an ABY and the RAC guy reckons its the fuel pump so fingers crossed that's what it is. Its been taken to a yard overnight so i'll see if i can get a new pump sorted tomorrow and hopefully manage to put it on myself if not I'll see if either of these garages can do it. Thanks again
A spluttering halt is usually fuel related... or timing perhaps.
Two spanners at the fuel rail (and a jumper for the fuel pump relay) would tell you if the pump is dead or alive - rather than just replacing it ?
Squirt the open feed line into a container for 10 seconds and see how much fuel you get while the pump is running.
It could be the relay itself... or it could even be a slipped timing belt - how do you know you are getting sparks and no fuel.
Heck it could be a blown fuse for the pump or the ECU.
Thanks Paul, I got it taken to Albyn motors in Aberdeen but they haven't had a look at it yet hopefully find out on Monday. Don't have any tools through here so less hassle to let them deal with it

If you have no luck with Albyn then try Bavaria Auto Werke on Hutcheon street, always busy, but pricey. Took my mates C330i in there and they had her all fixed up in a couple days, but they are not cheap. You get what you pay for I guess.
