Fuel tank s4 1993, rust issues?

Just wondering if the 1993 s4 avant has the same fuel tank rust issues as the later s6?
Is there any way of fixing it if the steel tank perforated?

Try asking Rob ( GT500 ) about repairs, I'm sure he's had the tank on his A6 repaired, means removing the tank though which is a PIA
