    importing a car into Norway?

My wife will probably do a project for which she'll be spending a fair amount of time (1 or 2 weeks per month) in Tromsø. Plans are to take our A4q (2.8 30V my96) there (currently on Finnish plates). We already checked that it is allowed to drive the car on foreign plates for max 2 years, so that should be OK if the project stays as it is now. But putting it on Norwegian plates and selling it there when the project is actually over might be easier/safer, but what would be the costs? And any other hurdles?

Main issue is massive import fees/tax.
    1995 RS2 on Alcohol (6.8sec 100-200km/h)
    1994 80E Avant

so, we're scanning finn.no for 4wd cars in/near Tromso at a decent price. Not many on offer, but this one looks a good deal:

some bits I understand (just had MOT, service, brake disks) but the rest I do not quite get and I do not trust google translate to do it proper. can some of our Norwegian forum members help here?

does not sound bad, but would need confirmation that all running issues are solved and/or fixable.

that's a shocking amount, do they have PhD qualified mechanics? Can you recommend another independent workshop? because my wife can only drive a car, anything more difficult than filling up liquids is outside her comfort zone on the 6 months issue: how do they check that the car has been back to Finland? Because I'm sure that my wife will vissit Finland more often than every half year. Now she goes by plane to Lakselv and then by car to Inari. Doing the Tromsø-Inari journey a couple of times per year by car would not be a problem if that saves us having to buy car #5 .

My wife is in Tromsø now, using some rental thing with only half the weels driven. she was reminded again why we only have quattro's
