I think I'm right in saying that the engine number is stamped on the head?
I've been getting a little OCD about this of late, as I've picked up an AAN head and quite want to keep the ABY head that came with the car, to keep the engine number the same. This would involve bolting on the AAN head, following a brief refurb and then going to town on my ABY head, assuming it's not toast
I'm fairly certain that I'm being daft, so thought I'd open up the debate to the forum.
The car's hardly original, so resale value isn't really going to be affected but I'm concerned that to the uninitiated, the presence of an AAN code 'engine' could put them off, despite the £5k in receipts for a new motor...
Thoughts?
