Quaife Enginerring - Racks and Gearboxes

I'm pretty sure they'd do RHD one for a UrS6 if there was enough interest.

    If Carlsberg did gearboxes.

Would love to have the money to ask them to do a sequential heavy duty one for an I5.

They also do winches for Jeeps.

    I like their stuff.

    NCTS.

Goes off to do the Lottery.

Thing is that is a manual rack. The job becomes infinitely more complex and expensive as the power rack pinion is a far more intricate piece of engineering

Alex, I didn't dwell much on the MK 2 Golf rack, vis-a-viz it being manual or power steering. Assumed power steering, but as it is manual it may be aimed more at track oriented Mk 2 Golfs, but 2.9 might be a tiny bit too slow for the track, and I would have thought the road going power steering Mk 2 Golf would be a bigger potential market.

It was posted for any members on here with a Mk 2 or friends with a Mk 2. And some fo their stuff is engineering po*n to look at.

Anyway the above is all a bit academic on an S2 / I5 forum, where I would have assumed that an S car can only deal with a power rack , which agreed is more involved but well within their ability if they decided to do one.

      Thanks for keeping me honest.
