Very frustrating. I do however keep it under 100mph, as I am scared of losing my licence. Trouble is, modern cars do that sort of speed easily, smoothly and without you realising. The speed limits have not kept up with the increased safety of cars. I bet the braking distances quoted are no longer valid. My AP's on the S2 make your eyes bleed when you step on them. I reckon that coupe stops in half the time the Agency quotes, yet I am most likely charged more on insurance for the particular mod. Crazy. Personally think improving the braking efficiency of you car is a safe, responsible thing to do.Yep totally agree I think its just human when you set off you go 80 but the further you get into your journey the foot becomes heavier as all you want to do is get home for dinner beer and football!! I was coming down the M74 from Glasgow and really wanted to get home for a reasonable time so sitting at 80 thinking yeah its ok then 90 and a people carrier flew past me I thought WTF!!? He did slow down to 115 so followed him for a while then the both of us braked so damn hard as there was a copper hidden in the side this was at 10 oclock at night now that's what I call ridiculous as we were the only 2-3 cars on the motorway - #frustrating!!!!Comment

Just had an email reply from Admiral to say that the reason for a hype in the premium with parking sensors is that "we have had a number of claims where drivers were relying on these sensors, which would not have happened had it not been for them" (or words to that effect).
I despair

Admiral have always made their own rules up and continue to do so.
You mentioned another company was cheaper by 20 quid? You have a 14 day cooling off period on all insurance products, if you are still within the first 14 days you have a right to cancel. But Admiral being Admiral, I imagine they have purposefully waited 14 days before writing to you....B5 B6 B7 B9Comment

I believe Admiral, Elephant and Diamond are all part of the same group and I wouldn't insure any of my cars with either of them AT ALL!
I would rather pay more money elsewhere than give them my business, I know they seem good on the surface when they are taking your money etc. but see what happens when you have a problem.
All the cars in my household are now with Chris Knott and have been for many years now without any issues whatsoever and during that time we have had one claim (accident) and it was dealt with perfectly. This was the test for us.1992 Audi 100 2.8 Quattro

Likewise I have never rung them for a quote and never will.
Good to hear Chris Knott were good when the worst happened. Who do they underwrite with?B5 B6 B7 B9Comment
