URS4 questions, advice and value on bits/car?!

Evening punters, i trust you all had a hazzy..... i mean happy new year

right then, ive just bought a URS4 Avant and need help with a few bits..........

oil pressure when hot, what should it be? (i.e after normal driving and after a 1*5mph blast )

Dash shows 2.2 bar boooooost (homefried) is this 1.2 bar in reality?

    "snatchy" 3rd gear, common right?

fuel tanks, are they metal? Im sure i keep getting whiffs of fumes after i lock it up!

Alarms, looks like a factory one as the siren is the same as a VR6 and mk3 16v GTi i have also
Can i obtain keyfobs?! What do they look like? Who made them?

Front wings, how hard are they to get?
Was told a wing for the car came with it, its a ****ing non-S4 wing so of absolutly no use

ABD light is on,goes off when you pull away and goes off when you put the lights on ideas?

OH, and the bonnet doesnt release on the n/s latch, loads of cable ties keeping the cable to the front pannel, do i just need to put the origional white clips back in if i can buy them?

oh and i ****ed the grille, ripped it out in a rage cos the bonnet wouldnt open lol

Right ive driven the car a few times now and theres no denying i love it to bits, i drove back to Essex from newcastle as i was dying to have a go of the old girl!

seriously whats the value of the car as it stands:
i know it has a major oil leak (p155ing out and the engine is saturated in oil, i think its cam cover gasket but cant get the bonnet up to check!)
    needs a front wing,
needs rear 1/4, bumpers, both wings and roof painted
Door trims are all shagged at the bottom
    Headcloth is MISSING
Sunroof leaks BADLY, was a pond on the seat and ive only been away for 5 days
Drivers seat is a bit fubar`d but firm, just worn/bodged leather

Seems to drive very very well, FULL history (250k miles)
Chipped, 2.2 bar boost on clocks
launches very hard, no clutch slip and spits a flame on the rev limmiter in 1st
    its got HP2 front end
    Metalic blue car

i think i might insure it, sell my VR6 and my 16v ABF mk3 golf and just float round in this

What are these like to break nowdays? Parts selling wise.........

    Cheers in advance

ive got a S4 estate im breaking at the mo, depending on what you paid, they aren't worth a great deal in parts, especially if its done 250k?

2.2 with a chip i would think is slightly low.

Wings are very hard to come by, i had 2 good ones and got good money for them.

If you need parts give me a shout.

      will do mate,
i feel i got my **** warmed with this car but hey, live and learn!

its not "fast" but im spoilt with Cosworths etc so cant really comment.

i need that headlining you got but im not driving to collect it!

am i wrong in thinking the engine/loom/ECU etc complete is worth £1500?

I'm sure they should read 2.2 as standard.
One I had wasn't chipped and I saw that.
Good wings hard to find and as you ve found out people put non s wings on and then wheels stick out.
Only worth engine and box price really as not many(if any)people want to make s4 replicas like people want
        to make s2 replicas
My opinion would be get it mechanically sound and leave the body looking rough for a "sleeper avant !"

the car should feel fast, my S6 which has been tuned by PRJ goes like stink.

My S4 only had 140k with history. i gave the engine away £800 for everything.

Where in the country are you?

isnt 2.2 bar 1.2 bar in reality? so not STD?

pulls very very hard from 5-8000rpm (8000ish, sure its 8000, goes right round past 7k )

Put the engine n running gear in the vr6, shouldn't take you long!
I'm sure 2.2 is standard over boost reading
How about jap bolt on arch extensions ?

Pretty certain they are 1.1bar std, but a chip generally takes them to 1.4bar, so you might have a leak.

i might cut the lower bit of the wing off and put a normal bit in, should match up ok as it was rotted arround the mudflap.

And im not messing about with engine conversions anymore,
hence why i got the URS4 (no S2 avants for sale at the time!)

saying that ive just bought a manifold for a VR6Turbo lol
And i want a green Colour Concept mk3 to put the VR6 into, but thats a done in 1 day bolt in jobbie so that doesnt count lol

went out in it again before there, couldnt help myself

boost was only 2.0 bar, but still felt like it was boosting like mad!
i will put an actual capillary gauge on and check it at the manifold, and check it at the ECU incase of blockage/leak/lies

the floor carpets are absolutly soaking wet, nearly put it round a signpost having a bit of a spirited drive just before as my foot slipped off the brake pedal with a squeek and i whacked the throttle

i need to give it a propper going over and make a "to do" list i think, and sort the sunroof drains as they are pi5hinn in,

im not a happy camper with the car, but it makes me smile so so much i know it isnt the cars fault

You need to clear out the drains, as suggested in this thread.

If you can't do that ASAP, Duct tape the sunroof (on top) so no more water can come in. AND start drying out that carpet. Use old towels, press them down into the carpet to soak up water and/or use a wet/dry shop vac in WET mode to suck up water. It will soon go moldy and become smelly and unhealthy unless you start to solve this problem NOW.

The bonnet pull inside the car has a wire going to it, get underneath, pull the pull out, then reach behind and pull the wire its connected to with your finger, or pliers. That should open it.

1.2 bar of boost is what a stock one does on "overboost"

                              Leaks

My sunroof drain outlet up under the back bumper was blocked. Rubber had stuck to itself. Opened it up and no more leaks from the sunroof.
