Audi Tradition website - a real shame

How come they have such a shi..y website?
I mean I browse their parts and when all of a sudden I get a error page, click back button to go back... it's so frustrating....
Also their website is so slow.

I was thinking for all of us to make complaints, maybe something will be done?

Or maybe somebody from Audi is here, and will do something?

While it has been mentioned before, I still wholeheartedly agree, although we all operate in our own little bubble here, Audi couldn't give a tuppence about us. We're not exactly a big revenue stream for them. I naturally don't agree with their attitude but just saying.

Guys, I totally agree having tried to browse at Christmas...I sent my contact at Audi Tradition the following. Lets see what response is forthcoming
          ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
Hi Kevin and a Happy New Year to you.

You may remember we exchanged correspondence in 2014 about the effort to setup an ACI programme in the UK and met at the Audi Sport Camp at Le Mans with Stefano from Club Italia.

I wanted to just raise an issue which appears to be hindering a growing number of our www.s2forum.com members who are trying to use the Audi Tradition website to browse and ultimately purchase parts for the Audi R/S2.

Everyone without exception mentions the poor performance, slow page load, navigation crashes, sudden disappearance of parts in basket etc.

I wondered if you could help channel this feedback to the right people in the hope that we can actually get some improvements made for everyone.

Keeping an S2 or RS2 on the road is hard enough without a key part resource not being fit for purpose, especially when it’s the actual manufacturers’ own 

I’d appreciate it if you could acknowledge receipt and if helpful, confirm who we should contact in future on all things Audi Tradition website.

          Thanks!

          David

David, thank you for taking the time and making the effort to do something productive about it, while the rest of us just whinge about it, including me.

Hopefully it turns on a light with the right person, assuming it reaches them. We can but hope.

That is interesting. What browser and OS do you use?

Anybody else in different parts of the world that can use it with ease? It is beyond frustrating for me in the UK using latest edition of Chrome in Win 7.

i find it useless on all form factors and all browsers...tried on tablet with chrome, pc with firefox and chrome and wasn't any better with my old macbook. Some underlying performance issues, response and load times are terrible, even across an 80Mb fibre connection

Tonight I tried making an order through them
My shipping address is too long, they have a policy that it must be no more than 35 characters long.
Also they declined my credit card.
                      Thank you Audi Tradition.

He's full of it... I'm in the US and see the same crappy web site everyone sees. It's slow to load anything, hard to find what you want, and the pictures are of the quality of a mid-90's flip phone.

But, we have to remember that this is a small unimportant part of a large company. It may seem important to us, but for the shareholders, the focus is on driving new sales. This makes money but isn't really a profit center, so I think we have to be happy that Audi at least offers a site for this stuff at all.

Still, compared to BMW Mobile Tradition and Mercedes Classic Centre, it's a bit embarrassing. The support for older cars from both of those manufacturer's is way better.

The amount of NLA parts we have speaks as to how important we really are to Audi (i.e. not much). I emailed someone there about a part and it took more than three weeks to get a response.

Is it traditional that after clicking 'PAY' some kind of error message appears with advice to contact them , what I did immediately but in two working days last week was no reaction, order number is given and order status is: 'Payment started' but money are not even reserved from credit card and parts which probably I just imagine that I have ordered are still in the 'cart contents' on their web shop.... So ..... W.T.F. is this ?
