Any Vauxhall CDTI geeks on here ?

My god guys. So sorry to pollute the forum on a topic unrelated to audis.

The wife has a Zafira CDTI Sri 150bhp that drives really really well but I have an issue I am trying to resolve, we have exhaust gasses leaking through the swirl flaps that look as if they have perhaps been played with.
Supposedly there should be a connecting rod that connects all 4 flaps and operates via the egr but the rod has long gone and 2 of the flaps are rattling as if they want to pop out.
What should I do ? No elm lights or loss of power etc

Thought I'd ask here as looking on Vauxhall forums is useless, everybody thinks they're master techs !

    Cheers lads

    Hi Andy,
My youngest lad is a Chrysler Mastertech but just come off the tools. The last company he was with also had a Vauxhall franchise, and he's still in touch with the lads.

If no-one else here can help you, I'll ask him (when I see him) to find out for you, but won't be for a few days.

I believe it's a common fault. Plastic parts coking up etc. If it's not causing and dricing problems I'd be tempted to bin it
