    AAN ECU for testing

So I am suspecting that my ECU might be playing up. Car wouldn't go past 4000 rpm in 5th/6th gear, runs beautifully in 1st, 2nd, 3rd and is somewhere in between in 4th. I have checked everything possible, so at this point I am looking at ECU problem.

Before sourcing a replacement, I'd like to make sure that that's the issue. I am based in Leeds, so would anyone have a spare AAN ECU I could borrow for a day or two?

    Thanks

What happened to that serious kink in the fuel line near the filter. Did you fix it properly or is it still a bit kinked?

The ECU doesn't know what gear you're in
More like car doesn't like to run under full load. ECUs mostly just work or they don't.

It's all sorted now, managed to make it round again, but there is no improvement whatsoever.

I know that. But I have checked everything(injectors, coils, fuel filter/pump, all the possible sensors) and that's the only thing left really. I had issues with A100 ECU where it didn't get TPS signal, worked fine otherwise.

I suspect that my making that mangled twisted fuel line "round", unless you actually replaced a section of pipe, the newly "round" pipe has a slightly decreased inside diameter = restricted fuel flow = running issues at high load (no improvement)

The proper way to fix that would be to replace the damaged section of tubing, not use pliers to reshape the twisted bit to an approximation of "round". Anything else will negatively impact the operation of your AAN.

I will change it when I can, but it didn't improve at all, and pipe is pretty round, much better than before.

Also fuel economy is just horrendous. Met a guy with heavy foot as he said, in a 300HP S6 and he's getting same consumption as mine with no foot and stock.

I'd like to think replacing the fuel line to make it perfectly round again won't cure this issue actually. Also if that would be the issue why is there no problem in the lower gears?

Have you tested fuel pressure at the fuel rail, WB02 sensor AFRs?
