Transporting an S2 engine - engine dimensions

Roughly what cargo space will I need to collect an ABY (assuming manifolds and turbo still attached)? I've never seen one out of the car before so I'm not sure whether to hire a man with a van or try to shoehorn it into the back of my old man's Cherokee to save some cash. How tall and long are they? I have ~35" top to bottom and ~30" hatch to seats to play with in the back of the Jeep, not convinced this will be enough taking a hoist into consideration.

Should I just stop being a skinflint and rent a van?

I got one delivered on a pallet, cost £60 reckon it's about a metre cubed, heavy to try get in the back of a Cherokee

Cherokee?!! Heck, it will fit the back of a C4 Avant. I got thisAAN in (on to a piece of 19mm plywood) with help but I got it out by myself (brought an engine stand up to the back of the avant and "married" the two at the edge of the hatch opening (flywheel had to come off).

The engine is not that big. I think it would fit in a golf [emoji23]
