Anyone ever heard of a warped disc disappearing?

This is on the BMW which last week I picked up from the repair centre. I think it had been stood for a while before the repair centre got hold of it. The morning after I picked it up I noticed vibration through the pedal under moderate braking.

I noticed it was getting less severe the day after that, thinking it was down to me knowing it was there and looking out for it, making it less noticeable/less of a surprise. Today I've noticed it has pretty much gone. Is it possible something just built up on the disc which has now been worn down by a bit of use throughout the last few days? Or is it down to either magic, pixies, me slowly turning insane through stress or a good samaritan changing the disc & pads for me in the night?

That was rust on the discs from sitting in a wet (damp/moist) environment, unused. Now that you are driving it again and using the brakes, the rust is being removed by the brake pads. Normal. Not to worry, all will be fine.

The alternative to just driving the car is to remove the calipers and sand the brake discs as per this Audi service bulletin for situations where new Audis have sat too long (more that 180 days on the arrival docks in the US - for example):

Excellent news! I hoped that was what it was. I'm gonna leave it like that as it's on sale now to fund the S2 refresh/upgrade
