    UK customs

    Hey guys,

I need a little help. I sent a part to a nice fellow forum member from the USA to UK.
(First time it was in January, not claimed, it got lost, then found and returned to me after 3 months...)
Anyway, shipped it few days ago via USPS, label was done according the UK addressing, US custom form was filled out (as gift), and now its in the UK, but my friend didnt get any notification. When we are tracking the package, its said: item being held addressee being notified
Where is it at, at the US customs, UK post office?
(USPS post office points finger to the UK end, and shaking their head. )
Anybody has some experience with a situation like this?
    Thank you
    Chris

Btdt in another country. This showed up in usps system while the local post could show more. Go to UK royal post or whatever website and enter tracking number there. USPS has not so much to do with this anymore apart from transfering tracking data, so check with royal mail (same number) if nothing useful is there, contact royal mail

                  Normally it is.
But it is a gray area with many factors including luck. So here yes/no simply does not work.

I sent it as a gift and he still had to pay tax on it.
