The RS3 would be alot more interesting to me if it was available with a proper gearbox. No matter how fast these modern double clutch things shift, they will never give the driving experience and thrill of a manual IMO...Comment

I find it quite amusing that people are saying that they understeer but name me a RS that doesn't! The new one looks awesome, future brother inlaw is looking at one but the new BMW M2 come out soon as well. I'd still have the first RS3, a few little tweaks will soon sort out the understeer out easy enough.Comment

I find it amusing that Audi have let it continue for so long. I can't think of any other marque at that price point which has had such an pronounced achilles heel in an otherwise strong offering.I find it quite amusing that people are saying that they understeer but name me a RS that doesn't! If Audi ever did make a quattro/4wd car that didn't understeer/had more power to the rear and did have a little back end movement again, look what happened the last time! There was deaths, court cases and a massive recall cause people couldn't drive. But then the 1st generation TT did handle, there is kits on the market to change the bushes back to how they was on the first ever TT's. So as Diesel Des has said its all about safety as the everyday drivers that actually buy these £40k+ RS car aren't really into it like most of us and are company cars as they have the top spec on the list.
On the other hand the only car that does send more power to the rear is the R8, but if they hadn't have done that it wouldn't have sold cause of the bad press it would have had from the reviews/testers.Comment
