    Insurance time again

A quick call to Sky and the price is the same as last year. Not good, not bad I suppose. Maybe I've just reached the age where getting older doesn't save money...

I got my letter this week too.
I've got to the point now where the mods list is that long I cant really be arsed to shop around.

"Is the car modified in any way Sir?"
      "Yes"
"What has been done to it?"
"Shall I email you a list?"
"We can go through it now if you you like?"
"Look, there's **** loads. I really think you need to let me send you a list"

I changed from Sky to Flux this year as sky upped my price. The modified list is silly for me too. Most insurance sites don't have enough room in the modded sections to list what's been changed!

I'll have to be more organised next year and shop around... They've put the price up a few times and I've then got them to put it down but not this time. Mods list is quite long, so it's easier this time...

I've found a plan and Adrian flux are the two brokers I try and normally go with flux as they guarantee to beat renewal if you find cheaper elsewhere

                      Hi,
Please feel free to give us a try for insurance next year. If you wanted to PM me some contact details nearer the time I'd be happy to arrange for one of my quotes team to give you a call back.
                      Regards,
                      Dan.

I've scanned mine in and can then just send a link rather than repeat each time now

                          insurance

mine went up with flux this year , no reason , no changes , so i went with chris knott ,
i think if you stick with the same insurer they get lazy?
When i told flux about the better quote all they could do was match the knott price, too late.
It will be interesting to see my other renewals with flux early next year

Going to have to be a bit more pro-active next year but it's a little frustrating when you stay with a company and they decide not to recognise your loyalty. No reason given, no changes to the policy. I'll have to decide if I spend a few hours on the phone next year and try and get some money off.

As for my Clio 1.6 runaround; don't get me started - Admiral must have been high when they came up with the figure for that one, then they gave the missus a cracking deal on the 172

Footman James... RS2'd S4 in high risk postcode... <£200.
Agreed valuation, 4k miles. Not too bad at all.
