I'm going to see one of these at the weekend. Any known faults I should look out for? I'm taking a diagnostic plug in jobby, but thought I'd ask here also.

That's a B6, I had a B5 2.8 which was a good car but it suffered badly from leaky oil seals. Not sure if the 3.0 had the same issues but worth checking because it was a real pita! I also found the rear legroom was poor and you couldn't fit child seats in without adjusting the front seats....Old Stuff Reborn.Comment

I've a b6 diesel and would recommend either the 2.5tdi or 1.9tdi for that sort of money. Check when the cambelt was done. Lots of horror stories about the 2.5tdi but if its a later 03/04 they resolved the cams & breather issues. I've been very impressed. Road tax is high.Comment

Yeah, B6 I know.. I can't correct the thread title. I've heard of the oil seal issue, also CATS and coilpacks. Timing belt is due and coil packs were done 10 years ago under warranty. Are coilpacks a consumable? It's done 70k since they were changed..Comment
