    Thanks for the advice guys.

SA Boy what pistons did you end up using? I can only get 9A pistons here in SA.
I`m sure your van must run!!

If I go for the 7A, I cant get pistons locally, 7A has Compression height of 33.4mm, 9A has 29.0

I`m keeping my car NA, have spent way too much time and money on the individual throttle setup and exhaust to chuck that out after only doing +-150KM`s.

The 2.0 NM engine only woke up at around 5500rpm and would rev happily to 7000rpm, but wasn't that nice to drive, not enough mid range.

I was going to go with all forged internals, but cannot justify the cost at the moment, if you do forged rods and pistons, then it would be silly not to do a proper valve train too.

Nice very nice. You could get good 7a pistons here for about £50. plus postage. I got my 6a/9a pistons from Alert. What are NM specs? 7a has 170hp/125kw and 220nm.

Will be getting the 9A pistons from Alert too. but have to buy 2 x sets of 4 .

        The NM engine is:

        1994cc
        81mm bore x 77.4 stroke.
        118kw
        not sure of the torque.

Least you'll have some spares. You will enjoy the low and especially the midrange, don't have to rev its guts out. Nev.

Looks and sounds really good. What power did it develop or is there still tuning of the carbs to be done?

Thanks, It really sounded good from inside the car.
the little 2.0 made 100kw on the wheels at 6500RPM with the individual throttle bodies, but we weren't finished with tuning... was having issues with the distributor so wouldn't rev past 6800rpm. When I finally got the new distributor in, on its test drive the vernier cam pulley broke, destroying the whole engine

I was planning on revving to 8500RPM, which should have resulted in around 120kw on the wheels.
