    Irish Urquattro shell papers lost

    Hi

A friend bought an urq shell in the UK, but did not pay good attention so he ended up with a urq shell with no papers.

Now the question is how to get back papers?

    I found this
    Code:
If you require a replacement document for any of the following, Form RF134 must be completed and witnessed by a member of the Garda Siochana at a Garda station and presented or posted with the appropriate fee to your Motor Tax Office (doc, 34kb)

Registration book - Replacement Fee 12 euro
RF 101 Vehicle Licensing Certificate /Registration Certificate - Replacement Fee 12 euro
Tax Disc - Replacement Fee 6 euro
        Trailer licence 6 euro
Certificate of Roadworthiness (light and heavy) 7 euro

Cheques should be made payable to your local County or City Council.
But we live in Belgium so as far as i understand the shell must go back to Ireland?
Since we only know the vin number....i think this will not be easy.

Can we obtain papers as Belgians?
Or we must let it do by Irish people?

Do you know was ever registered in Ireland? Most likely a UK car that was brought into Ireland and never registered there. From experience my 944 was like that, I just applied to for a new UK registration book, but I'm from the UK and took car back across the border to here. However I would imagine with EU legislation you are eligible to apply for the registration along you are with in the EU.

      -It is a urq shell
      -It has a vin number
-It was Irish broken in the uk so last plate was in Ireland.

Can you explain step by step?
And we not take the shell to ireland to hear not possible....can we check some things before with vin number and where?

Can your Audi dealer check the Vin number and give you more information to allow you to get it 'organised". Has to be possible to sort, without the need to bring it back to Ireland.

If you would like any assistance from this end, you may wish to pm me.

Question is where was the car first registered. Most likely it was brought into Ireland from the UK and re registered here, but the UK registration will still be valid if you wish to bring the car back into the UK. All you need to do is request a replacement certificate (pretend its lost) from the DVLA.

As said if was a UK car the DVLA are relatively straight forward deal with in regards this, my only dealing with an Irish registered car was a XR3i that had be inspected by the Garda (police) as we where registering it outside the of the republic, that was 15 years ago now so...

If you have information on where was registered in Ireland with details contact the council for that area, if need help getting contact them I'm sure one us Irish lads can help you out if you know the registration
