My S2 has just a smile on my face.

I don't use my coupe in the winter as she is pampered in a garage. However as we had the first dry day in a while and I needed to get the Xmas decorations down from the roof space I rolled the old girl out. After letting her run up to temp I couldn't resist a quick run out. I forgot how addictive 1st and 2nd gear and that engine/exhaust note was.. If your s2 hasn't been out for a while give it a blast, it's fun!!!

I have put too much work into my coupe to cover it in crap on winter roads though plus 2 kids and coupe do not go well together. My rs4 is on stands at the Moment however the last couple of jobs are nearly complete.. I can't wait. As nice as the s2 is the rs4 is quicker and more refined.

A little yes. There's no mistaking that old car smell in the coupe. My mk2 golf had the same smell too.

I know that once in a while 1st and 2nd gear feeling too. I'll have to wait until April for it now. It is well worth the wait though....

I know how you feel about your S2!! I drive an A6 3L tdi Quattro s line everyday and it's bloody quick when needs be! But the S2 just has something else about her. Love the old girl and no matter the weather I try to get up to kielder on a Saturday for a blast if I can and then you spend the next hour cleaning her before you put the car back in the garage! Still want a RS6 but will never ever sell my S2

It is good fun on a dry crisp cold day. All that cold air increases the bang for buck too..

I know the feeling, having some steering work done on the car and will be back on the road very soon. Just had an exhaust cutout valve fitted, the new billet steering bracket from Jay and front and rear track rods from Albert.

I cannot wait to test the car again and have the steering setup perfectly for the first time in three years!

I have had a new pair of rear track arms waiting to go on for over 12 months. I couldn't get the geometry done as the guy I use couldn't move the rear track. I must pull my finger out and get it done and tracked. I'll be interested to see what a difference it makes to the handling...
