Very nice. Is that a typical handbrake height on an avant??

No, that is the height of a handbrake that doesn't work!!!

              Lovely car

Shame the bodyshop guys forgot the rs2 rear badge, although a minor omission!!

One of my all time favourite cars...very unique in every way

              Regards.

                Better without the badges imho.

                    Hi guys,

Thanks for the compliments on the car, I have had unbelievable interest thankfully.

I agreed with the person who made the first full price offer that I would hang onto it until mid Jan so I could have another couple of weeks driving it.....it will be a very sad day when it leaves!

The paint job was from the window cills down (cills/sills both are correct) as the roof, A and D pillars were perfect.....it was never the intention to do so much, I bought new door trims and then just got carried away......glad I did though!

Yea the handbrake on these cars is not the best! Since the photo it's had new shoes and cables so has minimal travel but I honestly don't think Porsche were too bothered about the design.....I've never had a car that's needed a handbrake adjusted as much!

I told the guy in the paint shop to dump the old badges at the time of the re-spray as they would look tatty on the fresh paint. When I arrived to collect the car there was an 03 diesel Golf with an RS2 badge on the tailgate parked outside. I did order a new RS2 badge but liked it without any so it's in the glove box for the next owner.

I genuinely can't believe I'm selling it but the cost of storage, insurance and servicing for a car I'm using less and less just doesn't make sense anymore. I was considering mothballing it for a few years but cars like this need to be driven so with a tear in my eye I'll let her go!
