    York specialists?

    Hi all

New member from York here. HAs anyone got any recommendations for a specialist in the area who can help with a few jobs on an RS2?

I'm investigating a turbo issue at the moment and was advised to go here http://www.motoscope.co.uk/rolling-road/ the guy sounded very good on the phone.

I called http://www.holmescarservicing.co.uk/ in the centre of the city and had a brief chat; I don't know if it was just an off day but he didn't sound like he wanted the work. He asked how old the car was too which I thought strange. He just kept saying how hard it is to find parts... Like I don't know!

So is there anyone else worth checking out? The car has been with Ish in Luton for a bit and will probably head down there for some of the jobs but would like to have someone up here too...

    Cheers
    Chris

P.S hope this is the correct forum, couldn't see anywhere else more appropriate, unless I'm going blind!

You need to contact " Automark " at Stokesley, 45 mins up the A1 from York.
Can't recommend them enough ,especially for your Rs2.

Yeah, when I was looking to get my 3B live mapped I spoke to a good number of members on here who only had the highest praise for Mark from "Automark", apparently he knows his way around these cars very well.

Though as I ended up getting a great chip-set that suits my requirements perfectly and I do all my own maintenance I can't personally vouch for the guy.

Brilliant that's great, thanks guys. And yes I know the road well. Visitors Stokesley before and took my E39 along it. Great fun.

I'll give him a call on Monday!!

There's a slight boost leak, normally get 1 bar for a short time. Could be plumbing or ish reckons it might be the diverted valve. Never had a turbo before so not really knowledgable about them myself but it FEELS like a leak of some sort. Prob smoke test then rolling road will be useful?

He doesn't have a 4 wheel Dyno which is a shame but seems to do fine mapping on the road

Great, well I might book it in with him then postpone the 4 wheel dyno guys at motoscope (just down the road from Mark) until such a time it is deemed necessary. Both garages sound great so it seems like the NW Yorkshire Moors is the place to be!!

I'll update as I go, thanks
