That's exactly the same method I employed until I stopped the water getting into my passenger compartment with the careful application of insulation tap.

Dehumidifier's are great! Plus they act as a heater so the car is warm inside when one first gets in.

Have you tried a strip of insulation tape applied to the long aluminium piece of trim that's riveted to the body up side of the A-post and along the roof line?

Okay.... it's not a permanent solution but at least I know that's where the water was getting in.

was mine the only coupe to not leak? rip

I found rear lights to be the biggest culprit

I used to put the silca bags from servers theyre bigger, in the rear footwell. a bowl of salt works too. don't spill it though

My old s2 coupe didnt leak but i once returned to the car to find the sunroof had opened itself. Wasnt funny, much. Both old coupe quattros i had leaked, one of them had serious issues with the rear lights and the respective corrosion and disco look that accompanied it. I ended up drilling a couple of small holes in the reflectors. That stopped the disco effect but.just channeled the water elsewhere. Twas an ongoing that was never won haha

Very unusual for coupes not to leak lol!!!! Biggest weakness on the car apart from the brakes I think. Mine doesn't leak very much at all just a few drops so I might be one of the lucky few!!!

Rik hope you gets yours sorted

Yep mines pretty good, after sorting the rear lights and the boot trim screws, which make you think the lights are leaking(!)

Front end doesn't seem to leak much at all, kept the drains clear, re-sealed the heater intake, and masticed over a few cracks in the sealer in the scuttle panel to make sure, and all good

                      Sunroof doesn't leak a drop

I've been fighting with mine since I got it too. Had to throw away the padding under the carpet. and have uninstalled / reinstalled the carpet a few times too. I sorted the right side and just when I thought it was all better, the other side started leaking.

I have ice on the inside of the car!

Mine does not leak it used to until I did the screen properly. Rather than insulation tape use self adhesive aluminium tape used for household insulation. It's very cheap super sticky and lasts. If you check on elsa it shows tape applied over rivet holes it's very similar stuff to the aluminium tape.

this is behind the A pillar trims then where the rivets go through to the 2 trims either side of the windscreen then right?
