When does a standard rs2 turbo kick in rpm ?

That would depend on factors such as the map and setup on the car. On a standard S2 you're looking at 3K upwards and full boost certainly bt 3.5K.91 Modded 3B

Very much depends on the map and to a degree factors such as efficiency of the exhaust system and cylinder head. A stock RS2 comes onto boost around 3K with full boost available just before 3.5K, which is down to the software and perhaps the exhaust cam.
My RS2 spec 3B with a 3" (inc DP) single box exhaust system and gas flowed head runs very aggressive software starts to come onto boost just after 2K RPM and is fully on song by 3K. However my S2 is considerably lighter than stock which may also play a part..1990 B3 2.0 80 quattro.

As above, somewhere in the 3.5k rpm region. A little higher in the lower gears and and lower in the higher gears...Cheers'en, AndyC

Sorry to hijack your thread but perhaps good info for you too.
This is the map for TS Tuning chips that i have bought for an RS2 turbo. I'm not sure if this is good or not as some people are experiencing earlier full boost around 3k These are meant to be quite aggressive too, however I've yet to try them so can't comment what they will actually feel like.
Whats your thought guys?
