Anyone know where I can get hold of a set of N 905 569 02 rear subframe bolts other than on the slow boat from China !? Thanks

NLA from audi, or TPS , or VAG
And they're torque to yield ..?
Wondering why the bolts are threaded all the way up although it passes through bush into frame.
Will have to get from bolt supplier I guess.Comment

They were available from TPS until very recently.
Perhaps we need to start a list of NLA part numbers against specs for buying aftermarket. This would be useful for quite a few parts that aren't yet NLA too as dealer prices for nuts and bolts are usually ridiculous.Comment

Are they stretch bolts though ?
Think fronts are different size m12 front m10 rear iirc ...
N 904 893 01 wishbone bolts would do it if they're TTY bolts which I don't think they are ?
Yep drop TPS an email quite frequently for bits and bobs and most times reply is " sorry obsolete" bushes, bolts, all manner of stuff .
Maybe folk just go for standard high tensile bolts or just reuse the old ones but not ideal ..
There's an article somewhere all about TTT bolts and TTY bolts it's bit of an eye opener , very informative and well worth a read. You won't look at a bolt as just a bolt again lol !
I'll see if I can find a link ...Last edited by Gazmitchell; 23 February 2016, 18:20.Comment

re using stretch bolts...
I have to admit I've done this when finding NLA parts.
It caused issues when I did my subframe overhaul. Could i get my wishbones to stop rattling around on their bushes? Nope. It was highly embarrassing when i went to get my alignment sorted and they pointed out the issue. Both rear wishbones seemed loose. I went home, tightened up thinking that maybe they had come loose due to powder coating under bolt head wearing off or something like that and went back a week later - still loose.
Took wishbones out, looked at it, scratched head and eventually found that the bolts was 0.3mm thinner than a spare new one and the bush tube was just loose around the bolt!
The consequences don't bare thinking about if it had snapped.
Quite surprised by how much the bolt had necked down in thickness.
New standard high tensile 10.9 bolts fitted and everything has been fine since.Comment

I don't think you'll see much stretch on an M10 bolt that's only getting torqued to 35 Nm before applying 90 degrees more. 35 Nm doesn't get anywhere close to an M10 threshold for stretch
The number I quoted is a rear wishbone bolt part number - these are torqued to 70 Nm + 90 degrees on the S2. It has a shank rather than being fully threaded. It also comes with an integrated washer which would need to be removed when using in a subframe applicationMike
