Cheers Mike , can you still get hold of wishbone bolts ? May be the way to go, as no joy with trying to get hold of the subframe ones as yet.

The M10 subframe bolt is also used as a front wishbone bolt - part number is the same.

The M10 rear wishbone bolts were available last year when I last bought some - not sure on current availability

They're still available £2.74 + VAT from TPS so will go with them I guess . The subframe full threaded bolts are available from China gen VAG but 15- 29 days to get them . May be worth ordering a load !!

          Interesting reading in that link!

90% of the torque applied to a bolt is overcoming friction then, the 10% left does the claming and it is recommended to lube threads and under the head. And also interesting that stretch bolts are said to have '6' tightening cycles in them before failure becomes an issue. I wonder how many times my wishbones had been in and out then? (it was the 70nm+90deg wishbone bolts that caused trouble when i did my whole subframe refurb)

          hmmmm.

It's food for thought for sure! But as Mike above has said , 35N torque is hardly stressing about of that size ? So if that's the case why do they recommend no reuse?

And I've changed all my wishbones with new and re used bolts but re hewed bolt obviously, as I didn't realise that they may be TTY bolts , and they are torqued up to 70N ,! ? So I. Theory I should've changed them also. .?
