Just merged onto the M25 a few days ago from my Junction and was greeted by this spectacular sight.

A little bird told me the XJ 220 has a Metro 6R4 engine in it.
I thought it would at least have had a quad cam V12 under the hood.

When we were kids we biked over there one weekend to go and look at them through the fence. Got in lots of trouble but it was worth it!

Fair haha. Some big pike in the weirpool a bit further upstream. We used to get in trouble for that as well.

We have a local guru of these cars. You may have seen his transit on top gear or his son driving up the drive at Goodwood.
He takes them to same MOT garage I use too!
So we see them around from time to time

Yep, turbocharged 6R4 engine in it.... supposed to have a V12, but budget killed it -though IIRC someone has built a V12 version, as the engine bay was left big enough for it....

A slightly odd looking car, but by heck did it shift, even by modern standards.
