Hydraulic or manual insert, the secret is that at the end where you push the bushing, the flange that you put on the bush has to be much smaller than OD(outside diameter)of the bushing.
So when you push/press in,the exterior of the bush has place to contract and to be pushed outside first and after that will just jump inside. If you use the same OD,the middle of the bushing will bend.
I do not know if you understand what i mean, but just use a push flange for example 20mm if the OD of the bushing is 40mm.
And use ruber lube/soap to help it slide.
Do not use hammer.Threaded bar or hydraulic press. And give us a review
