Been giving this a bit more thought. Could i not use my 3.0ah Makita 8414D cordless impact drill pictured below with some sort of attachment instead to take sockets?? This would cost me next to nothing. I have not tried it but i suspect i would have to crack the nut of normally but at least i could then unwind with the drill? Don't laugh it's just a thought otherwise it's a £200 ish machine.

This does not seem like impact tool. Not even "hammer"tool how you call a tool that drils concreete.

You need impact not hammer tool

    Look here at torque specs:http://www.makita.biz/product/catego...48/src/148.pdf
65 nm.......This tool may not unscrew even a 8mm bolt little stucked.

    You need something like this:http://www.hitachi-koki.com/powertoo.../wr18dbdl.html

I would go with Hitachi and ONLY.Seen them in action over the years, batery holds good time with daily use(1-1.5 years)
