To cut a long story short, I have to replace a current company car with another. The stipulations are cost and must be diesel
Within a sensible budget and any manufacturer, what would you choose and why?
Budget is a lease price of around 500 quid / month...
Honda CBR 1100XX Blackbird Turbo....undergoing major changes.....
S2 Coupe... bit easier off the line...
'03 ZX12-R daily hack.... lots of nice bolt ons...
I've had new a4 tdi's for the past 5 yrs . Can't fault them apart from the fuel economy isn't greatest compared to the equivalent merc or bmw.
I've picked up a new Passat estate . Feels very plasticy inside and build quality isn't the same however this seems similar to the new model a4 .
Out of choice I'd have the merc

It's got to be a diesel, you can't have a hybrid petrol?
Actually, I enquired about this as the rules did not mention hybrids... apparently a petrol hybrid would be acceptable...
Can't stretch to a 918 though unfortunately...!
Really not clued up on hybrids, need to check what is available...

Top and tail is that they lied, after virtually rebuilding it wiring loom, new ECU etc etc, it turned out they only changed one injector initially (they said they'd done them all to start with) When they finally changed them all in one go it sorted it.. Nine weeks after changing one on its own..

In that case, look at the Mercedes C350e, 2.0ltr turbo petrol 200hp and an electric motor giving another 80hp, combined torque is 450lbft
My brother has one on order and had the demo for a long weekend last month so I got a drive, seriousley impressed, the interior is a bit spaceship for me, but it's fast and nice to drive. And a big plus in the UK is that because the emissions are so low the company car tax is also low
