    Productive Weekend on RS2

Looks like great progress...did you clean everything up and new paint in there too or just clean the years of accumulated muck of it?

You did all this work in a weekend? Driver's side has the shorter driveshaft for a RHD car.

I power washed all engine bay but it didn't make that much difference to be honest,
some of the older brake lines were cleaned up and new one's have also been put alongside them, a lot of the brackets, subframe, ARB, brake bomb and other items have been glass blasted and powder coated all the engine bay has been glass blasted and re - painted the front hub's have come a lot better than I expected again glass blasted and powder coated.

New power flex bushes fitted, new engine, gearbox & transmission mount to be fitted a big thanks to Kev (Bambridge) excellent workmanship, most other item's have just been cleaned up and painted or powder coated still a long way to go though, engine is away as we speak, when that is fitted its off to have an exhaust made (any recommendations)? then strip down and full respay

I will never have any money at this rate

Thanks for the info on the driveshaft

I fit some of the parts last week, but most of it this weekend I had to finish up the brake pipes, the subframe was already done and just needed fitting, front suspension was complete so it was a lot of big bits this weekend which go together pretty quick.

Oh! and a big thanks to her in doors for keeping brews coming

Awesome!!!! I wish I had the time, knowhow and more importantly the $$ to do a refurbish.
One quick question - did you get the engine mount from Bambridge (img_5384). Alternatively and if at all possible what is the height of the mount? I got some from "the store in the US" and they're too tall
            Thanx

I bought these original engine mounts (img_5384) from A/T , but I do have some from Kev (Bambridge) try and contact him he may have some sets left I know he was doing quiet a few sets for forum members earlier in the year.

                      You're making me blush.

I did and I am interested. I'll send you a reply.

Another top quality restoration, well done it looks fantastic

One thing and it's just my opinion - those tie rods are not suitable for a road car - no boot and will wear out in a few hundred miles

I've just bought the same ones ( Dynamic Motorsport Developments? ) , I'm going to look at making some sort of boot for protection from salt and rain.

Nice work on the restoration John
