    Heater matrix foam

So finally got round to doing the steering rack and heater matrix on a cab I am doing up, been putting it off for a while as they are both nightmare jobs. I have the matrix out and am looking to replace the foam, have read a few of the write ups on this and looks like people have had problems with different types of foam. Has anyone found sonething that works long term?

Thanks for that, have not seen your thread before, good write up, I have heard someone else mention armaflex, it's a bit pricey but will be worth it if I only have to do the job once!

You also might want to check out the foam on the air ducting flaps mine were very rotten.

Is it for sealing or noise? Mine were also a bit worn out

It was to redo the flaps, now all done, just waiting for floor to dry out before putting in a replacement floor carpet then it's going back in. Used some stuff I found on ebay called max tape, appears to be the same type of tape as Arma flex but only a tenner for 30 ft which is enough to do at least 3 or 4 matrix, will see how it holds but looks good quality with strong adhesive.

Was it from a UK seller or one in the USA ?

I used Nitto foam. Works a treat and should last for plenty of time as is used by OEM's a lot.
